The Competitive Troupe is an audition-based musical theatre troupe for students aged 10 to 18, who have performance experience. Students receive instruction from our award-winning director, Shell Ramirez a and gain experience in all aspects of musical theatre production, including vocal training, choreography and acting techniques. We produce two full musicals per year, one in the fall and one in the spring. After the Fall performance, the Troupe uses rehearsals to prepare for the Junior Theater Festival.
Students enrolled in the fall session of The Competitive Troupe will attend the Junior Theater Festival (JTF) in Atlanta at the Cobb Galleria Center, January 12-14, 2017. JTF is one of the biggest and best festivals dedicated to children’s musical theatre and provides an excellent opportunity for the students to perform for adjudication by a panel of international theatre professionals, take workshops from Broadway professionals, see wonderful musical theatre performances and the have the chance to interact with thousands of others who share a passion for musical theatre.
